The French
Riviera

We spent two days of relaxation here in the south of France. Amazingly enough, some German fifers hearing of our tour met us in Nice to play some music. German and American fifers were heard playing Hell on the Wabash from the balconies of our hotel rooms. Several corps members also visited nearby Cannes.

Carcassonne ,
the
Walled City
at Night

Picture

We spent an afternoon and night in this beautiful city not known for its fast elevators. In the evening a good jam session ensued within the Keep at the center of the old walled city.  Located on an ancient trading route between France and Spain, this walled fortress was never conquered.
