Our first
sight of the
Fort:

The King's
Bastion

Picture

A view across Louisbourg harbor of the town of Louisbourg
from the Fortress.  Note the rubble at the bottom of the
picture.  That is the ruins of the original wall that
havc lain untouched since the destruction by the British in 1745!

Note the lighthouse two miles away across the harbor mouth.
There are no lights at Louisbourg.  It's completely authentic.
It was so dark at night, the lighthouse became annoying...

Sunset over
the fortress.
